These barrels previously aged High West Distillery’s Old Fashioned, a premium pre-batched cocktail made with a blend of bourbon and rye whiskeys, unrefined simple syrup, Angostura and orange bitters, then finished in rye whiskey barrels for a minimum of three months.
The barrels carry layered impressions of orange zest, dried cherry, sassafras, and allspice, with a rich mid-palate reminiscent of orange cinnamon buns. The finish leaves behind notes of black pepper, cola, and warm cinnamon, offering a unique cocktail-driven barrel influence unlike traditional spirit-only casks
